- The grounds are beautiful!! The rear deck and ground-level terraza invite you to recline and breathe in the surrounding natural beauty. Or meander through lush gardens and woods to a firepit perfect for cousin-bonding into the night.
- The cuisine is to die for—from a hot breakfast every morning to an assortment of special dishes in the evening including the famous cornbread stuffing by the Inn’s assistant chef, and other treats prepared by popular local contractors (i.e. the Lucyann bakery and Mark’s Famous Chili). .
- The Inn provides an assortment of activities to enjoy during your stay, including PG-13 rated jigsaw puzzles, extended happy hour (don’t miss one of Madelyn’s margaritas!), and DC tours. Come with a few dollar bills for a round of left-right-and-center (though some say the groundskeeper’s historical luck is a bit suspicious).
- The groundskeeper (aka Husband) plays at least three key and valuable roles. (1) musical entertainment on the establishment’s grand piano, (2) stimulating discussions on a wide array of erudite topics, and (3) washing the crystal.
- The Inn’s housekeeper is the key to the whole operation. She is an elegant hostess whose gracious hospitality and sharp wit will make you feel right at home while providing endless entertainment, though the mono-lingual among you may miss the parts that lapse into rapid-fire Spanish.
